Yes, I know only a few of us have got up to tier 6 arty, but which, from your own experience, or from watching someone play them, do you think is best?

Big gun is main reason but also the mobility and insane frontal armor (51mm)

The gun ain't that big, it can do 1800dmg at most.. Mobility is mediocre, but in a straight line it's great. I'm guessing you went for M12? The accuracy is epic, but some days you will hit everything, some days your gunner seems drunk.. I once missed the broadside of a barn from 10m away! Shell arc good, shell velocity good, so means penetration is easier, oh, and penetration is awesome.. 200mm with a good hit..

GwPanther far superior. Accuracy is stunning, every battle nearly a minimum of 3 kills for me. Damage isn't the biggest pro for it, but the pseudo turret allowing for a 90° turret rotation keeping the aiming reticle accurate allowing for a faster aiming time really tops it. I've played other Tier VI self propelled artillery vehicles on the test servers, and the GwPanther is far superior in my opinion. Chose German route.

No, the GW may be accurate and powerful on paper but in the game, it really isn't. I tried all of them except S-51 on 8.0 test server and M12 was still my favourite.. The mobility may be poor and the gun arc mediocre compared to GW, but in pure damage output and consistency of hits is amazing.. There is not a single game where I haven't damaged more than 5 of the other team. Maybe sometimes I am not lucky enough to get a kill every game, but after 100+ battles, never less than 5 damaged is pretty good.. After 10 battles I had a win rate of 100% and 17 kills, average xp per battle 600.. What do you say to that?

Just done some research and when they are stock, the GW only beats M12 in top speed, traverse speed and side-rear hull armor.. And, when they are fully upgraded, the M12 wins in everything except top speed, traverse speed, RoF, and hull armor! And really, who needs that on an arty? Just one question, the M12 is on the chassis of the M3 Lee, and the GW is on the chassis of a PzV Panther Mk.2.. The Lee turns like a demented carousel, whilst the Panther turns like a ferris wheel. The M12 is lighter and has much more powerful an engine and is shorter, so all of this leads to the 'common sense' that M12 should be faster and have better traverse. But, in game, the M12 is slagged off for its mobility.. I've checked RL stats and the M12 has a traverse speed of around 35°/sec and a top speed of 65kph, it could reach that speed in 5 secs on road. Thanks for the Anti-US bias WG. -.-

going towards it slowly with hummel but its the only arty who fired on my IS-3 and killed my in 2 shots and that 5 times now no other arty has done that damage to me yet might be a concidence but i dont think so other arty's might take me down in 2 shots as well but i think there less accurate then the gwpanther and there for incable of doing so

I've played Russians and my M12 on test server and they can both oneshot IS-3s.. My M12 has max dmg of 1800 and Rusdians have 2100 with 203mm howitzers!

well they could but they never do full damage and i've never seen it happen so thats why i go for the accuracy of the gwpanther

Are you kidding?! THOSE ARE ALL THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS FOR ARTILLERY. The GwPanther, even at stock surpasses the M12 with statistics as they both have the same damage/penetration numbers rendering this factor useless apart from the M12's slightly higher rate of fire, the GwPanther has a much higher traverse speed that the M12? Last time I checked the M12 was at 17d/s at stock, then 20d/s at the suspension upgrade? Whereas the GwPanther was at 25d/s, then 28d/s fully upgraded? Not to mention it also has the Pseudo turret which allows for 90° rotation. Once fully upgraded, the M12 has a mere 50 more damage, which in fair terms of artillery is hardly different. The GwPanther beats the M12 in Mobility, which is a vital factor in measuring the survivability of Self Propelled Artillery with the M12's top speed at 39km/h and the GwPanther's top speed at 48km/h? The GwPanther is much more fitter in the Self Propelled Artillery tree than the M12, and unless you've used Tier VI artillery, you would know not to rely on statistics in an argument and just to get used to what you're playing with which suits you better.

*Shakes hands with Woody* (: I'm so happy that Mork has left as commander. I swear to God I have never seen a worse player. His idea of taking charge, and having those set of rules for the clan was absolutely ridiculous. I was more than keen to leave the clan when he was in charge, and with his horrible ******* statistics as well! I have got so much big ears from other people in clans because of it hahaha. Woody I'm so much more comfortable that you're now our commander and hope that you can lead in a better example for all the other players in our clan.
